WOP Participates in CIOE 2020 Exhibition

While live exhibitions become a rarity today, we were very happy with the possibility to participate in CIOE (China International Optoelectronic Exposition) and present our services and products.

This year, we shared space with our colleagues Altechna, Light Conversion, Ekspla, and Eksma Optics in the national stand, organized by Enterprise Lithuania.

Due to Covid situation, our stand was covered by our colleagues Altechna China. They have presented our:

“The laser industry, or optoelectronics, in Lithuania is a curious and inspiring case of success. While we rarely get up close with lasers in our everyday life (or don’t realize we do), they are still an essential part of medicine and technological innovation.

Optoelectronics is one of the most significant industries in Lithuania, and it is easy to understand why. A country of fewer than 3 million people now generates 1% of the world’s total laser revenue, and 90 of the 100 of the world’s top universities use Lithuania-made lasers for their research!

While earlier, the industry was focused on the scientific laser niche, the improvement in laser technologies allowed Lithuanian laser products to start working in the industrial market, where almost half of the total sales currently take place.”
